cabbages and mushrooms


For 2 people – Easy ~ €

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes


  • ½  Romanesco  (also known as Romanesque cauliflower or Romanesco broccoli)
  • ½ cauliflower
  • 5 medium size mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Soy cream (replaceable with 1 dl of soy cream)

  • 80 ml soy milk
  • 15 ml of olive oil
  • 10 ml of sunflower oil
  • 1 heaped tbsp of wheat flour (replaceable with 1 heaped tbsp of cornstarch for a gluten-free version)
  • A couple of drops of vinegar (preferably cider)

Serve with rice.

Cut the Romanesco and the cauliflower into bite-size pieces. Boil them in water for 5 minutes.

Cut the mushroom into ½-cm slices. Fry the mushrooms and garlic in a pan for 5 minutes then add the precooked Romanesco and cauliflower. Let it cook for 5 minutes and add the cream. Leave to cook for another 5 minutes.


The Romanesco and cauliflower pieces should be kept intact. An overcooking will give you our result …!
